The Flames put up a good fight in St. Martin on Friday, but eventually fell to the Martins 6-3.
St. Martin grabbed a 4-0 lead through four innings before Farming mounted a comeback. The Flames scored in the in the fifth when Craig Klein reached on a strikeout-passed ball, and then went to second on another passed ball. Cody Fourre sacrificed him to third, and Chris Wehseler hit a long sacrifice fly to drive in Craig.
The Flames scored two more in the seventh. Taylor Fourre and Cody Fourre both reached, and were advanced on an infield out. Both runners scored on a long double by Kyle Zierden.
Kyle Zierden went the first five innings for Faming, giving up 5 runs on 5 hits. Cody Fourre came on in the sixth, and gave up 1 run and 1 hit in 3 innings pitched.
Next up for the Flames is a Father's Day matinee at Richmond. Game time is 1:30pm.
