In the eighth, Farming rallied to score a run. Aaron Nett walked, and Carey Shay pitch ran for him. Carey went to second on a passed ball, and to third on a wild pitch. John Klein hit a sharp single up the middle, scoring Carey.
In the ninth, Farming threatened to tie the score. Craig Klein led off the inning with a double, and Kyle Zierden walked. However, the Flames were unable to bring either runner home.
Next up for Farming is a Saturday night ballgame, hosting the Elrosa Saints. The field will be dedicated as Schleper Bros Field prior to the ballgame, so come early to catch a little part of Farming baseball history. Gametime is 8:00pm.
