The Royals put up runs in six consecutive innings as they defeated the Flames 14-5, on Friday night in Farming.
Farming took an early 1-0 lead on a homerun by Taylor Fourre leading off the ballgame. In the fifth, the Flames scored three more on a three-run homer by Adam Winkels, scoring Mitchell Thelen and Robbie Schleper ahead of him. Farming's final run came in the sixth inning on a double by Ethan Navrital, scoring Cody Fourre.
Brad Mergen started on the mound for the Flames, going the first five innings. He was followed in relief by Kyle Zierden, Chad Mergen, and Dylan Panek.
Next weekend the Flames will host the annual Farming Invitational, featuring eight class C ballclubs. Farming's first game is Friday night against the Sartell Stone Poneys. Gametime is 6:30pm.
