Taylor Fourre hit two towering home runs to lead Farming to a 3-0 win at Lake Henry.
Isaac Nett led off the first with a double and Taylor followed with a homer, giving the Flames a quick 2-0 lead just two hitters into the ballgame. The score stayed that way until the fifth when Taylor hit a solo shot. That was all the runs the Flames needed on this day.
Brad Mergen pitched the first six scoreless innings, giving up just two hits and recording four strikeouts. Adam Winkels followed with three innings, giving up two hits and striking out one. Brad got the win, improving his record to 3-2 on the season, while Adam got his first save of the year. The dynamic duo allowed just four singles all afternoon.
With the win Farming moves to 5-7 in the SCL-South. Next up is a trip to St. Martin this Saturday, in the last league game of the regular season. Gametime is 1:30pm.
