Farming moved to 4-0 in the Stearns County League as they defeated Spring Hill 5-3 on a steamy Thursday night, at Farming.
After falling behind 1-0, the Flames took the lead courtesy of a 3-run homer by Tylor Schroeder. After the Chargers tied the game up in the fifth, Farming took the lead for good with a two-run 7th inning. Cody Fourre reached on an error, and Tylor singled to put runners on 1st and 2nd. Nick Mergen hit into a force, and Bradon Einyck singled to load the bases. Aaron Einyck singled in Corey Shay, who had pinch run for Cody, and Will Mergen hit a long sacrifice fly, scoring Nick.
Adam Winkels went the first three innings for Farming, followed by six innings from Ethan Navritol who got the win. Ethan got stronger as the game went on and was really firing strikes by the end.
The Flames host Richmond on Friday, July 3, at 8:00pm.
